Bo Poske horror

Bo Poske’s stories blend creature horror, psychological dread, cinematic survival tension, and isolated North Carolina settings where ordinary places become traps and fear spreads faster than answers.

Creature Horror

Monsters do not always hide in myth. Sometimes they wait behind fences, beneath water, in the woods, or inside the places built to keep us safe.

Isolation

From abandoned roads and forgotten towns to collapsing communities and isolated wilderness, fear grows strongest when escape feels impossible.

Psychological dread

Fear does its worst work quietly, twisting memory, guilt, grief, and doubt until reality itself begins to feel unreliable.

Survival horror

When safety collapses, ordinary people are forced into impossible choices, brutal consequences, and one desperate question: who gets out alive?

I never viewed elephants as scary, until now. A particular scene has a gruesome but awesome visual planted into my brain!
What was supposed to be a nice getaway to the zoo, a break from real-world horrors, turns into the stuff of nightmares. Ever wonder what would happen if all the animals at the zoo got out? Then add to it what seems like organized movement/attacks and unusual anger.

Horror reviewer, Casey Bee

"The Silence at Asheboro is one of those slow-burn horror stories that creeps up on you without you realizing it. It starts off quiet and controlled, but there is this constant sense that something isn’t right, and that feeling just keeps building the deeper you get into it."

Writer, T.D. Lawler

"A fast paced, action packed horror that takes place at the Asheboro zoo! The gruesome battle scenes are relentless in the best way and you won’t be able to stop turning the pages. The mother/son relationship in this book will pull on your heartstrings."

Reader, T.D. Hannah

"Creepy, suspenseful, and full of gore - it will leave you stressed out and on edge all the way to the last page. From the very beginning you are introduced to a nightmare that never really ends. By the end of the book you’re left wondering if this apocalypse will continue or if there will be a reprieve - a true cliffhanger that will truly leave you just as on edge as when you began."
